Supabase vs Neon vs PlanetScale for a small SaaS. What are people actually running in 2026?

Ran all three in prod over the last two years, so here is the honest version:
Supabase is great if you want auth and storage in the box. It gets awkward once you need to tune Postgres itself. PlanetScale is MySQL first, solid, but the Postgres story is newer.
We ended up on
Neon
because branching per PR meant every preview
deploy got its own database, and scale to zero cut our staging bill to almost nothing. Cold starts are real, around 500ms, so keep that in mind for anything latency sensitive.

Is this going to get us banned on Reddit?
No. Bans come from fake accounts and copy-pasted praise. Our answers come from engineers with real post history who have actually run your product. Useful answers stay up. Ads get removed within the hour.
We tried a Reddit agency and it flopped. Why would this be different?
Most agencies still use warmed-up throwaway accounts and templated comments. That stopped working in 2025. We answer the question first, name competitors honestly, mention you once, and show you every thread so you can see what stayed up.
When do we see results?
Traffic the week the first answers go live. Signups usually by week five. Google page one by week eight. ChatGPT citations from week eight on.
Do you guarantee results?
Yes. At kickoff we agree on 10 buyer questions with you. If you're not on Google page one or named by ChatGPT for at least 3 of them by the end of month three, we keep working for free until you are.
How much of our time does this take?
About an hour a month. We need access to the product, so whoever writes about it has actually used it. That's it.
Who actually writes the comments?
Engineers who have used your product. Not a content team, not AI. Engineers spot a non-technical writer in one reply.
Which subreddits do you post in?
Wherever your buyers ask which tool to pick. We map 15 to 30 per product in week one, from r/devops and r/selfhosted down to the small ones nobody else targets.
What if a comment gets removed?
You see it in your report, marked removed, and we replace it in the next batch. Nothing disappears quietly.
What if engineers just don't like our product?
Then we tell you on the first call and don't take your money. A good answer can win a thread. It can't save a tool people don't want.
